Mackey’s writing and design students complete dummy sketches

Allison Krecek from Downers Grove South tapes her dummy design to the classroom wall. The entertainment page features coverage about how the book Hunger Games is being made into a film. Krecek said the Writing and Design for Newspapers class, taught by Jody Mackey, is better than she anticipated because other similar classes she's taken at different workshops don't have the design component. ""It's definitely not something I expected this journalism class to do because (other classes) are usually all writing," she said. "I'm not a good drawer, but it's fun."
