The students in Dean Hume’s News Editors course wasted no time this week perfecting their class. After a brief exercise to strengthen their descriptive skills, the class split off into pairs to edit sports column made by students in the Sports Coverage class taught by Jim Woehrle.

“When you get into the story, it’s a lot easier than you thought it would be,” sophomore Ellie Bennett said of her experience having to edit a student’s story. Bennett, an editor for Fenton High School’s The InPrint, along with her 13 other classmates spent 30 minutes critiquing and giving feedback to those in the Sports Coverage class.

The students will continue developing both their editorial and leadership skill tomorrow by doing more helpful exercises and simulations.
