For a favorable Monday morning, laid back and basic is the way to go. MIPA’s InDesign for Newspaper class is exactly that.
According to the MIPA handbook the class is a basic hands-on class with no experience needed.
“They are going to leave here saying, ‘I can do a Page 3.’” instructor Sara-Beth Badalamente said.
Students in the class said they are looking forward to learning InDesign as much as they can during the five-day camp.
As many students came to participate in the class because of their talent, eagerness and position, most said they wanted some experience in InDesign to take home and share with fellow journalists.
“My favorite thing is the visually appealing part, there are so many options, colors and fonts,” student Jennifer Kush said.
Badalamente said she wants to make sure her class stays fun, classy and informational. “Go big, or go home,” she said.
