Class begins to wrap today in Creative Illustration Techniques. The students used to as a workday and spent their time reviewing lessons they skipped and applying what they have learned to various things.
“Today we are working on final projects,” Chad Bennett said. “They have a number of different designs so they’re kinda applying all the bits and pieces they’ve learned”
Tomorrow during the half hour class, the students will be filling out and grading review sheets on the camp, the class and on Bennett.
“I’m going to give them all feedback with all of their assignments,” he said. “Then hopefully we can just discuss if they have questions or clarifications.”
First time MIPA camper and sophomore Anna Villaver thinks the class was a good experience and she learned a lot more than she knew before.
“Right now I’m working on a collage of images that would tell a story,” Villaver said. “I didn’t know that it would be working mostly with photoshop. That’s a skill I need to enhance so I can take it back to my publication.”
Villaver likes that she can bring more variety back to her publication, but she especially enjoys the atmosphere of the class.
“Everything in this class is kinda lax,” sh said. “You aren’t really stressed out because they’re aren’t consequences and you can work at your own leisure.”
