Personality Profile on Jordyn Pair

July 31, 2013 by JimStreisel Leave a Comment

Joyful Jordyn, “J-O-R-D-Y-N,” she spells, through kind facial expressions, a “tiny town” girl living in a very exciting world. From dancing to singing to wearing a black belt with pride, two things stand out the most: her shiny black glasses and her passion for writing.

She wants to show the world her uniqueness by spending her time famously, not in a cubicle. She also has a great passion for acting, whether that’s on camera of just goofing around.

Journalism is a life goal for Jordyn, live on the big screen or sitting comfortably at home with a monitor and keyboard.

Her friends have been a big part of Jordyn’s life. She loves to just hang and quote “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” movie lines. By the time the day is done she and she and her girlfriends have recited literally the whole movie.

Although she has a smile on her face for most of the day, she gets annoyed and bummed out with her biggest pet peeve. She hates getting looked down upon or judged by her choice of education. Jordyn loves being home schooled because she can tailor her learning environment to her needs. So she doesn’t let the negative comments get to her.

Another thing that keeps her chin up and her smile a runnin’ is her favorite quote, “keep on keepin on.” She does not quite remember where she heard it but that doesn’t stop her from seeing the clear meaning.

She admits one of her biggest heros is her dad.

“He has been through a lot with his parents’ divorce and his dad’s drinking … so I would say he is up there (as one of her heros),” Pair says. He kept going and now she will.

She wants to make her mark. Showing the world how exciting hers is.

By Christina Karcher | Sophomore | Grosse Pointe South High School [This work comes from the Art of Storytelling class, taught by Julia Satterthwaite.] Ever since I knew how to string letters into words, and those words into sentences, I have loved to read. I would read for hours at a time, fiction about fairies […]

Careers in crayon

By Baity Wagner | senior | Wylie E. Groves High School [This work comes from the Art of Storytelling class, taught by Julia Satterthwaite.] I soaked in school like a sponge. I loved learning about shapes, addition and how to write a proper sentence. Despite the abundance of lessons that are thrown at you in […]
