You’ll never guess who’s back in town! Yup that’s right, Lights and Caves! The band of four is happy to be returning for MIPA’s 2015 workshop. Before their performance, a couple students from The Upstart were lucky enough to sit down with the band members and ask a few questions. Mackenzie McDonell, Sean Vichinsky, and Kristen Hiser dug deep to uncover all of the bands dirty little secrets.
Kristen Hiser is a senior at Mercy High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She is the New Media & Promotions Editor of Mercy’s school newspaper, Newsprint. As New Media & Promotions Editor, Kristen is in charge of promoting Newsprint online and offline. In her sophomore year of high school, Kristen took an introduction to journalism class and graduated to be a Newsprint staff reporter her junior year. In her free time, Kristen demolishes Mercy’s field hockey field and leads her school as the student body president. You can catch Kristen in Wixom, Michigan, Farmington Hills, Michigan, or anywhere in between. You may see her out and about with her friends, but you will more likely find her poolside with her adorable, and more importantly lovable, black lab named Brady. In this short week at MIPA, Kristen hopes to record your most embarrassing moments and publish them on MIPA’s Upstart website for all of camp to see.
